At Grunber, we strive to provide a seamless junk removal experience. To maintain a high-quality network and protect our partner drivers, we require all customers to follow these service guidelines. Failure to comply with these terms may lead to additional fees, service suspension, or permanent removal from the platform.
1. Respect for Service Providers #
We have a zero tolerance policy for any form of disrespect, verbal abuse, harassment, or aggressive behavior toward our drivers. The haulers are independent professionals who deserve a safe working environment. Any customer who displays inappropriate behavior will be permanently banned from using Grunber services.
2. Payment Terms #
Grunber operates exclusively on a pre-payment basis. Payment for services must be secured through the platform at the time of booking.
To ensure a fair and safe marketplace, funds are held securely by the platform and are only released once the service is confirmed. If the assigned local hauler fails to complete the job, the held amount will be fully refunded to the client.
By using our platform, you agree that:
- All bookings require an upfront payment to be confirmed.
- Funds remain protected until service completion.
- If a service is not performed, the refund process is initiated automatically or upon request.
3. Accuracy of Item Descriptions #
Pricing is calculated based on the volume and type of items described at the time of booking. If a driver arrives and finds a significantly larger volume of junk or heavy items that were not disclosed, such as pianos or safes, the price will be adjusted on site.
If the customer refuses to pay the fair adjustment for the extra volume, the driver has the right to decline the job. In this case, a trip fee will be charged to the customer to cover the driver’s time and fuel.
4. Hazardous Materials and Safety Violations #
Grunber does not handle hazardous waste. This includes chemicals, wet paint, oils, batteries, or any toxic substances. Attempting to hide these materials within a pile of general junk is a serious safety violation.
If a driver identifies hazardous materials, the service will be stopped immediately. The customer may be subject to a safety violation fine and will be responsible for any cleaning or disposal costs incurred by the driver if the materials were already loaded.
5. Cancellation and No-Access Policy #
Our drivers plan their routes and schedules in advance. If a customer cancels a job less than 24 hours before the appointment, a cancellation fee may apply.
Furthermore, if a driver arrives at the scheduled location and cannot access the items or if the customer is not present to authorize the pickup, a “No-Access” fee will be charged. This ensures our partners are compensated for their time and operational costs.
6. Property Access and Safety #
Customers are responsible for providing a clear and safe path for the removal of items. This includes securing pets and ensuring the area is free of hazards. If a location is deemed unsafe for the driver to operate, the service may be cancelled and a trip fee will be applied.
