This quick guide covers the essentials you need to know to accept your first job, get paid quickly, and maintain a high driver score.
1. Accessing the App #
By now, you should have received a link to download the Grunber Hauler App (iOS or Android).
- Log In: Use the email and password you registered with, or sign in directly using your Google Account.
- Notifications: Make sure to allow notifications so you don’t miss urgent job opportunities in your area.
2. How to Earn: Understanding Job Types #
On your “Jobs” dashboard, you will encounter two types of service requests:
- 🔨 In Bid Jobs (Auctions): These are the most common. You will see the city and ZIP code and must enter your best competitive price.
- Pro Tip: Price is king. Clients compare bids, so offer your best rate to win the job.
- Warning: Do not bid low just to win and then decline the job later. This carries penalties.
- ⚡ Pre-Set Price Jobs: These jobs come with a fixed payout amount (e.g., $150.00).
- How it works: These are first-come, first-served. If the price works for you, tap Accept Job immediately.
3. The Perfect Job Flow (For Fast Payouts) #
To ensure your payment is processed without delays, please follow this exact workflow in the app:
- 🚗 En Route: Before you start driving to the location, change your status to “En Route”. This notifies the client you are on your way.
- 📍 Arrived: Once you park at the site, switch the status to “Arrived”.
- 📸 Before Photos: The app will require wide shots of the items and the site. Crucial: You must take a photo of your empty truck/trailer before loading.
- ✅ Job Done: After loading everything, tap “Job Done” and upload the required “After Photos”:
- The site cleaned and swept.
- The truck fully loaded with the items.
Note: Blurry photos or missing the “empty truck” photo will delay your payment process.
4. Community Rules #
To keep your account active and your score high, please adhere to these non-negotiable rules:
- No Self-Promotion: Never hand out your personal business cards or promote your own company. All communication must go through Grunber.
- Respect & Safety: Always be polite with customers. Wear proper safety gear (gloves, boots).
- Commitment: If you accept a job, commit to the schedule. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows result in penalties.
5. When Do I Get Paid? #
Payments are processed the same day (during business hours) provided all photos meet our audit requirements. You can track your earnings directly in the Account > Payments tab.
